Our History

2005

In 2005, Fischer Identity’s suite of Identity Management solutions revolutionized the industry, giving birth to the world’s first service-oriented architecture (SOA) compliant, standards-based identity management framework, powered by a core ETL engine.

2006

In 2006, Coppin State University made history by implementing Fischer Identity’s solutions on premise. They further cemented their forward-thinking approach by becoming the inaugural client to transition to the cloud in 2010, maintaining an active partnership with Fischer Identity ever since.

2007

By 2007, Fischer Identity had expanded its offerings to encompass secure and cost-effective outsourced identity management solutions, meticulously tailored to meet the unique needs of any organization.

2018

In 2018, Fischer Identity forged a partnership with AWS to address the increasing demand for cloud infrastructure among its clients.

2021

The launch of the Accelerated Identity™ product in 2021 marked a significant milestone, enabling clients to gain comprehensive visibility and control over an organization’s identities and access within a mere 60 days. This user-friendly, out-of-the-box solution offers seamless scalability and leverages pre-built templates rooted in Fischer Identity’s over two decades of industry expertise.

Addison Fischer

Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer

Addison Fischer is a visionary pioneer in the realm of technology and security, whose legacy has left an indelible mark on the digital landscape. His journey into the world of security began in the 1970s when he founded his first high-tech startup, crafting the “Top Secret” IBM mainframe security software, a groundbreaking achievement that set the stage for his illustrious career.

In 1981, Fischer established Fischer International Systems Corporation, a communications software provider serving the Global 2000, where he serves as Chairman. Under his leadership, the company developed cutting-edge products for their time like TAO, Watchdog, EMC2, TapeStream, and IOF, setting new standards for security and innovation.

Fischer’s influence extended beyond his own ventures as he became a major owner of RSA Data Security, a pivotal player in the cybersecurity landscape. He also played a vital role in founding Verisign, a cornerstone in internet commerce integrity and worked with Netscape in pioneering the secure internet.

In 2005, Fischer founded Fischer International Identity, LLC, establishing cloud-based security software and Identity Access Governance delivered securely from the cloud, setting a precedent in the industry. His unwavering commitment to innovation and security continues to shape the digital world, ensuring organizations remain safer than ever.
